Beschreibung:

The panel discussion “From Samples to Insights: The Art of (Non)Probabilistic Surveys” will focus on one important aspect of data quality: representation. Stephanie Eckman (PhD) (University of Maryland), Dr. Barbara Felderer (GESIS), Prof. Peter Lugtig (Utrecht University), and Dr. Henning Silber (GESIS) will discuss the nuts and bolts of representation and sampling, including the notion of good representation, ways to achieve or to measure it, challenges on the way towards good representation, probabilistic and non-probabilistic samples, and innovative ways to supplement traditional survey data.

As our regular SSDL events, this hybrid event will take place in room A231 (A5, 6) and will be live-streamed on Zoom from 13:30-15:00. If you plan on attending remotely, please register for the live stream via GESIS.
