Dr. Jacobo Muñoz-Comet, Universidad Nacional de Education a Distancia (UNED) Madrid, ist bis 20. Dezember Gast im Arbeitsbereich A (Professor Irena Kogan).

Jacobo Muñoz-Comet holds a PhD in Sociology from UCM (Madrid, Spain), a Bachelor in Sociology (UNED, Spain) and a Bachelor in Information Science (UCM, Spain). Since 2012 he has worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology II (Social Stratification) of UNED. Previously he was awarded with a four years PhD grant from the Ministry of Science and Innovation. He did a research internship at the Department of Sociology of the VU University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) during his PhD and a postdoctoral research stay in the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS) at the University of Oxford (UK). His major research interests are the dynamics of migration, labor inequality, and the return of education in the labor market. In 2014 he won the first prize of the Sixth ISA Worldwide Competition for Junior Sociologists, organized by International Sociological Association (ISA).
