Gosia Mikucka got her Ph.D. in Sociology in 2010 in Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw, Poland). Following 2010, Gosia held postdoctoral positions in LISER (Luxembourg) and at the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium), with projects on subjective well-being, employment, and family. Her research interests focus around subjective well-being and health in relation to partnership and parenthood, social support, and employment. On these topics, she published recently on Journal of Marriage and Family, Demographic Research, and Advances in Life Course Research. She is also interested in methodology of social research: she worked on cross-country comparability of employment status of parental leave beneficiaries, on comparability of subjective well-being measures between web and telephone surveys, and on the effects of duplicate records in survey data for results of regression estimates. She taught courses on gender sociology in comparative perspective and advanced research methods. She is a senior researcher affiliated with the Laboratory for Comparative Social Research (Higher School of Economics, Russia) and a member of CONSIRT: Cross-National Studies – Interdisciplinary Research and Training Program, a joint programme of Polish Academy of Sciences and Ohio State University.
