Neuer wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter: Marcel Kappes
Marcel Kappes is a doctoral candidate in sociology at the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS) and since January 2022 he has been working as a research assistant at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) in the project "Immigrants' Career Changes in German Organizations". He received his Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of Mannheim and spent one semester abroad at Linköping University in Sweden. During his studies, he worked as a student assistant in the MZES project "Religion, Religiosity, and the Social-Emotional Integration of Muslim Youth" and in the project "Stability and Change in Adult Competencies: Patterns and Predictors of Literacy and Numeracy Development" at GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences. His research interests include social movements, organizational sociology, sociology of culture, and sociological theory.
