New scientific staff member: Christine Emmer
In September 2018, Christine Emmer started working as a PhD student at the MZES in research department A.
She studied Psychology at the University of Mannheim, Germany, and at the University of Tartu, Estonia. In her Master’s thesis, she reviewed the quantitative association of weight stigma and mental health/well-being as well as moderators of this relationship via meta-analytical methods. Currently, she is doing a PhD in a cooperation project of the MZES (Prof. Dr. Frank Kalter) and the Health Psychology lab of the University of Mannheim (Prof. Dr. Jutta Mata). The project aims to examine the impact of the mutual relations of social integration and health behaviours on the well-being of migrants.
