Professor David Sulmont guest at the MZES

David Sulmont is a KAAD (Katholischer Akademischer Ausländer-Dienst) scholarship holder and will be hosted at the MZES until 15 December 2018.

David Sulmont has a bachelor degree in Sociology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP), a master degree in Sociology from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales – Paris, and a Doctorate degree in Political Science and Government from the PUCP. He is Full Professor at the Social Sciences Department of the PUCP (http://www.pucp.edu.pe/david-sulmont-haak/), specialized in political sociology and research methods. He is a collaborator of the Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (www.cses.org) and has been in charge of the Peruvian electoral study since 2006. He has also collaborated in other comparative research projects, particularly the Project on Ethnicity and Race in Latin America – PERLA (http://perla.soc.ucsb.edu/). His current research is on programmatic linkages and voting behaviour in Latin America and he is interested in comparing those issues with Eastern European democracies.
