Andreas Nehrlich new scientific staff member

Since May 2015, Andreas Nehrlich works as a researcher at the MZES, Department A. He joins the Emmy Noether junior research group „Self and society: A Sociocultural Motives Perspective“, assisting its head Dr. habil. Jochen Gebauer.

Andreas Nehrlich studied psychology at the Humboldt-University in Berlin. In his diploma thesis, he investigated preferences for aspects of the self-concept. Specifically, he studied two psychological processes that help explain why people prefer different self-aspects in themselves and in close others.
