Bojanovsky Research Award for Dr. Jörg Dollmann

MZES researcher Dr. Jörg Dollmann has been granted this year's research award of the Prof. Dr. Anna und Prof. Dr. Jörg Jiri Bojanovsky Foundation. The foundation supports the empirical research of young scientists in the field of social, inter-individual, or cultural processes at the University of Mannheim.

Sociologist Jörg Dollmann has received the award for his article "Less Choice, Less Inequality? A Natural Experiment on Social and Ethnic Differences in Educational Decision-Making" which is an outcome of his research within the MZES project "Educational Decisions in Immigrant Families" under the direction of Professor Hartmut Esser. The article has been published in "European Sociological Review".

The award ceremony took place June 30, 2016 at the annual celebration of the Mannheim School of Social Sciences.
