Dr. Alexander Wenz new researcher in the MZES Data and Methods Unit

Since August 2022 Alexander Wenz is a fellow in the Data and Methods Unit at the MZES. He offers methodological support in survey design, survey data collection, and survey data analysis. He also provides advice on research ethics and data protection for the surveys conducted at the MZES. Since December 2021 he is also a director in the project "Understanding, Measuring, and Alleviating Inequalities in Digital Technology Use" in research area A.

Alexander Wenz received his PhD in Survey Methodology from the University of Essex in 2018 and his BA in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz in 2014. His research focuses on the quality of novel methods of data collection, including mobile web surveys, passive measurement with smartphone apps and wearable sensors, and linkage of survey and social media data. Before joining the MZES, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim and the University of Essex.
