Dr. Eike Mark Rinke new scientific staff member

Since February 2015, Dr. Eike Mark Rinke is a researcher at the MZES, Research Department B, in the project “Mediated Contestation in Comparative Perspective”, led by Prof. Dr. Hartmut Wessler.

Eike Mark Rinke studied at the University of Erfurt (B.A., 2005) and the George Washington University (M.A., 2008), and completed his doctorate at the University of Mannheim, where he worked as a research associate in the Institute for Media and Communication Studies. In his dissertation, he examined the factors influencing practices of public justification in television news in a cross-national, comparative perspective. His studies deal with political communication, with a particular interest in mediated public deliberation and comparative research.
