Dr. Jörg Dollmann wins ESR best article prize

Dr. Jörg Dollmann has been awarded this year's prize for the best article in European Sociological Review (ESR) for his 2016 paper "Less Choice, Less Inequality? A Natural Experiment on Social and Ethnic Differences in Educational Decision-Making". The internationally renowned ESR is the flagship journal of the European Consortium for Sociological Research (ECSR). Currently, more than 90 leading European research institutes and university departments are members of the Consortium.

Previously, Jörg Dollmann's article also won the research award of the Prof. Dr. Anna und Prof. Dr. Jörg Jiri Bojanovsky Foundation. The foundation supports the empirical research of young scientists in the field of social, inter-individual, or cultural processes.

The award-winning article is based on results from Jörg Dollmann's research within the MZES project "Educational Decisions in Immigrant Families" under the direction of Professor Hartmut Esser.
