New MZES Fellow: Oliver Rittmann

Oliver Rittmann has joined the MZES as a Lorenz-von-Stein Fellow in Research Department B in July 2024. His research interests include inequalities in the political representation of different societal groups, political discrimination, and non-verbal elements of political communication. He also has a strong interest in quantitative methods, especially in the computational analyses of audiovisual data.

Oliver Rittmann studied social science at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and political science at the University of Mannheim. In his dissertation, he investigated the potential of computational audio and video analysis for the study of political inequality and non-verbal communication in parliamentary contexts.
