New postdoctoral researcher at the MZES: Jan Rosset, PhD

The MZES will host Jan Rosset as postdoctoral researcher until February 2016. He works in dept. B with Professor Thomas Bräuninger.

Jan Rosset has received his PhD in political science from the University of Lausanne in August 2013. He has worked as senior researcher at FORS, the Swiss Centre of Expertise in the Social Sciences (www.forscenter.ch), and as lecturer at the University of Lausanne. Prior to that he has been the editorial assistant of the Swiss Political Science Review and held several posts in research projects – both academic and applied - on elections as instruments of democracy. His dissertation analyses the link between economic and political inequalities in Switzerland, with a focus on political representation.

At the MZES, Jan will start a project studying the way in which citizens’ multi-faceted preferences are channeled into political institutions for which he received funding from the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF).
