New scientific staff member: Julian Axenfeld
In May 2019, Julian Axenfeld started working as a researcher in the DFG-funded project A2.14 „Modular Questionnaire Designs for Social Surveys“. Specifically, he develops strategies to build survey modules for implementation in a split-questionnaire design as well as imputation strategies for such datasets.
Julian Axenfeld studied sociology at the University of Mannheim. In his master's thesis, he investigated the effects of single motherhood on employment behavior and the subjectively perceived financial situation depending on their socioeconomic and family situation. During his studies, he also worked as a student assistant at the Data Center of the Sonderforschungsbereich 884 and at the Chair in Macrosociology.
