New scientific staff member: Oke Bahnsen
Since September 2017, Oke Bahnsen has been working as a researcher in the DFG project B2.16 "Pre-Electoral Coalition Signals" (Prof. Dr. Thomas Gschwend).
Oke Bahnsen studied mathematics and economics/politics at Kiel University, Germany, and Gothenburg University, Sweden (B.A., M.Ed.). In his Master's thesis, he formulated an agent-based model of political opinion dynamics, which considers both social interaction effects and exogenous factors of influence. He empirically tested this approach with survey data on government satisfaction in Germany.
