Tackling educational inequalities in Europe: EU funding for Professor Irena Kogan

The European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 has approved funding for Prof. Dr. Irena Kogan’s project A2.2009 “Pioneering Policies and Practices Tackling Educational Inequalities in Europe (PIONEERED)”.

PIONEERED aims to determine research-informed policy measures and identify pioneering policies and practices to improve access to, uptake and completion of education. The MZES contributes to a cross-national comparative study of the emergence and reproduction of intersectional disadvantages/advantages in educational trajectories and at transitions across all stages in formal and informal educational settings. In doing so, the focus is on the intersectionality of gender and migration.
