Studentische Hilfskräfte (Projekt)

The Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) offers

two student assistant positions (B.A. or M.A.) in the project
„Comparing the Coordination of Elderly Care Services in European Welfare States”

The positions are for 6-12 months, preferably starting from 1 December 2019, with the possibility to further prolongation. Working time is between 30 and 40 hours per month, depending on individual circumstances.
The main task will be to transcribe taped interviews with experts in elderly care held in English. In addition, collaboration in coding and analyzing the interviews is possible.

What we expect:

  • very good knowledge of English (oral and in writing)
  • interest in comparative social policy
  • ability to learn and use the transcription software F4
  • willingness to learn the basic tools of MAXQDA, a program for coding qualitative data
  • flexibility and team-orientation

What we offer:
