Dr. Chadi Abdul-Rida new scientific staff member
Since May 2021, Dr. Chadi Abdul-Rida has been working at the Mannheim Center for European Social Research as a postdoc researcher in the PARFORM project (Partnership Formation in the Context of Refugee Migration). His main research focus is on the partner choice processes of immigrants and their children in the host society. One important question is the influence of the family on the partner choice. He is also interested in other research fields, particularly the well-being of immigrants and their children and their experiences of discrimination.
Dr. Chadi Abdul-Rida studied Sociology, Political Science and Romance Linguistics at RWTH Aachen. He received his doctorate in 2017 from Chemnitz University with a thesis on the "Influence of family networks on the partner choice and the relationship quality of Turkish immigrants".
