Profile/Career

Leon Siefken started working as a research assistant in the DFG-funded project “Causes and Consequences of Prime Ministerial Change” in September 2024. In his academic career, he has specialised in the quantitative analysis of populist parties and party competition in parliamentary democracies.

 

Leon completed his master’s degree in political science at the University of Mannheim. In his master's thesis, he analysed the applicability of large language models to the textual analysis of populism in party manifestos.
