Production and Diffusion of Ideas and International Negotiations (PRODI)

Research question/goal:

The project uses a reflexive-institutionalist approach and postulates an interdependence between institutionally-mediated ideas and the definition of interests and identities of actors in international negotiations. Case studies are the genesis of European Technology Policy and a second, yet to be determined, area of EU policies. The ultimate objective is to build a model that singles out the circumstances under which reflexive approaches offer explanations for the institutionalisation of international negotiation systems.
