Dr. Mujtaba Isani elected to the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences & Humanities (AGYA)
MZES researcher Dr. Mujtaba Isani is now a member of the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences & Humanities (AGYA), which is based at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW) and at the Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT) in Egypt. AGYA brings together excellent Arab and German scholars to address common challenges and develop solutions through sustainable research cooperation.
AGYA members are excellent early-career researchers (three to ten years post-PhD) from a variety of disciplines. The number of members is limited to 60. Membership is granted for a period of five years, after which members obtain lifelong access to AGYA’s Alumni Network of excellent researchers. New members are selected in a highly competitive process with several hundred applications every year, according to the AGYA website.
Dr. Mujtaba Isani’s areas of expertise are public opinion, religion and politics, extremism, integration, and Middle East politics.
