Lorenz von Stein Award for Dr. Xiao Lu's excellent thesis on new quantile methods

Political scientist Dr. Xiao Lu receives this year's Lorenz von Stein Award for his dissertation "Heterogeneous Decision Making: Four Essays on New Quantile Methods and Their Applications in Party Politics, Legislative Politics, Electoral Studies, and Political Economy". The thesis is part of Xiao Lu’s doctoral studies at the University of Mannheim’s Center for Doctoral Studies in Social and Behavioral Sciences (CDSS). He was supervised by Prof. Thomas König, Prof. Simon Hug (University of Geneva), and Prof. Richard Traunmüller.

The main purpose of the Lorenz von Stein Foundation is to support the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) and the Mannheim social sciences in general. The annual award for an outstanding dissertation in the Mannheim social sciences is accompanied by a prize of 1,000 Euros.
