New MZES fellow: Dr. Roni Lehrer

Roni Lehrer, Ph.D., has been a fellow at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research since February 2020. His research deals with how democracies ensure the representation of citizen interests. A particular research focus is on competition both between and within parties and on how policies diffuse.

Roni studied Political Science and Political Economy at the University of Mannheim and the University of Essex. He completed his Ph.D. in 2015 with a dissertation on the effects of party leadership selection mechanisms on party competition.
