New scientific staff member: Frieder Rodewald

Since June 2023, Frieder Rodewald has been working as an academic assistant at the MZES in Prof. Florian Keusch’s project IAB-SMART, in which he focusses on how new data types can be used in social science.

Frieder has a background in political and social science. In his master's thesis, he investigated how members of parliament talk differently about long-term care depending on their personal characteristics. To do so, he analysed 40 years of Bundestag debates using an innovative text-as-data method.
