Integration of Immigrants in the EU Countries

Research question/goal:

The project aims at improving the understanding of mechanisms, factors and processes of immigrant integration and at explaining the variation in the labour market outcomes of the immigrant population in the EU countries. The issue is approached from two perspectives: individual, here the focus is on differences in the characteristics of immigrant populations in various EU countries, and institutional, dealing with between-countries’ variation in the immigrant policy, labour market structure, the system of education and welfare regimes.
