The goal of the study was to analyze the difficult political, social, and economic situations in Eastern Europe, and to develop specific solutions for resolving them that could be applied in the transition to democracy and a market economy. The results were published in a book entitled "Stability in East Central Europe?" (Nomos Verlag).
