Zhang, Mingyi

Mingyi Zhang is a postdoctoral researcher in the project "The Time That Matters: Agenda-Setting Opportunities for Coalition Governments in Parliamentary Democracies", funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) through a Postdoc.Mobility Grant. The project examines the impact of formal agenda-setting rules and procedures in Western European cabinets and parliaments on coalition governments’ policy output, combining quantitative methods with formal theory.

Mingyi obtained her PhD from the University of Zurich with a research focus on the legislative activities of caretaker governments and coalition formation in advanced parliamentary democracies.

Her SNSF project will be based at the MZES from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2027.
