New and not-so-new trends in EU lobbying – lessons from the EUROLOB project to be presented to stakeholders in Brussels

On  23 March, 2016, 11:00-14:00, Prof. Dr. Beate Kohler-Koch and Dr. Christine Quittkat, project directors at the MZES / University of Mannheim, will present their EUROLOB project on business interests in the European Union in cooperation with the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI e.V.) to stakeholders in Brussels. The report presents the key results of a survey among European and national business associations in France, Germany, Great Britain and Poland. More than 550 participants provided information on when, where, and how they voice the interests of their constituencies in European policy making, and what they perceive to be the most relevant changes and challenges they have to face. As the study is a repetition of a survey conducted in 1999, it will allow for a reliable assessment of dominant trends in business advocacy.
