Gast am MZES: Prof. Guillermo Cordero

Guillermo Cordero is an associate professor in the Department of Political Science at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). He will be guest at the MZES in Research Department B until the end of July 2022.

Guillermo Cordero was researcher at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and pre-doctoral researcher at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (CEACS, Juan March Institute). Furthermore, he worked as research fellow at the University of Essex, the University of Michigan, the University of Montreal, and the University of California, Berkeley.

Cordero is principal investigator of the research projects “Descomponiendo el Voto a Partidos de Derecha Radical entre los Jóvenes: Precariedad Laboral, Insatisfacción con la Democracia e Inmigración” and “¿Ayuntamientos plurales? La representación política de los inmigrantes en España”. He is also coordinator of the UAM Research Group “Actores y Élites Políticas” (GIEAP). His research focuses on the vote for populist parties in Europe, political participation, and the study of the selection of political elites.
